General Contracting - the traditional method of contracting for services and the most widely used. The general contractor is responsible for delivering the scope of work established by the contract documents for a fixed price. .
Design-Build - exceptional results come from collaboration between the builder, the subcontractors, the manufacturers, the architect, and the engineers. Under the design-build format, both the design and construction of a project are included in the contractor's scope of work. We have in-house designers and engineers. Often we assemble a design team with specific expertise.
Construction Management - CGI provides expert construction services acts as the agent of the Owner. Trade contracts may be entered into sequentially. As soon as each specific part of the design is complete, bids for that trade package can be solicited and construction can commence. This overlapping of design and construction is known as 'fast-tracking', a process with which Construction Management is often associated.
Pre-Construction Services- Your ability to influence the ultimate cost, schedule, and functionality of a project decreases as the design progresses. The CGI team has experience working as part of a integrated design process to develop the best possible facility at the most reasonable cost. Several of our staff are LEED Accredited Professionals who will assist in project development.
Public/Private Partnerships- In response to governmental initiatives, P2 and P3 projects satisfy the goals of public institutions to transfer risk, access alternate financing models, and take advantage of the private sector's ability to deliver services at a more efficient and cost effective structure. CGI is well capitalized. Working together with our industry partners, we are able to meet public infrastructure needs on a wide range of projects.
Inventory & Logistics- CGI has projects nationwide. The challenge is ensuring the right people and materials arrive in the planned order, at the prescribed time. We often prepurchase materials. For example: flooring and lighting is purchased warehoused, and shipped "just in time". Our full time logistics and shipping coordinator assists operations staff with permanent and temporary storage of store fixtures and building materials and the related shipping through bonded carriers.
Preventative Maintenance- CGI has
in- house resources and industry affiliations which permit us to offer nationwide general maintenance, annual maintenance, program roll outs and site audits. Our service plans are developed and delivered with consultation with the individual client. We adapt to your operational model. We offer:
- Emergency Service- 2-3 hours
- Urgent Service- within 24 hours
- Scheduled Service- as requested
- Annual/Seasonal Service- based on client operational schedule
Millwork & Store Fixtures- we have a manufacturing facility specializing in retail and commercial millwork and fixtures. We have 3 distinct buildings for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, totaling 90 000 sq.ft. We manufacture custom store fixtures and architectural millwork in wood, metal, and acrylic, as well as graphics and signs.
